খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিশতী (রহ.): ভারতের মাটিতে ইসলামের প্রদীপ

খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিশতী (রহ.), যিনি “গরীব নবাজ” নামে সর্বাধিক পরিচিত, ছিলেন ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশের অন্যতম শ্রেষ্ঠ সুফি সাধক। তাঁর জীবন ও কর্ম ভারতবর্ষে ইসলাম প্রচারের ইতিহাসে এক উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত। তিনি কোনো জোর-জুলুম কিংবা সামরিক অভিযানের মাধ্যমে নয়, বরং ভালোবাসা, সহানুভূতি এবং মানবসেবার মাধ্যমে ইসলামের বাণী ছড়িয়ে দেন।

জন্ম ও প্রাথমিক জীবন

খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিশতী (রহ.) ১১৪১ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে ইরানের সিস্তান অঞ্চলে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। তিনি ছিলেন নবী করিম (সা.)-এর বংশধর, অর্থাৎ আহলে বাইতের অন্তর্ভুক্ত। শৈশবে পিতামাতাকে হারিয়ে তিনি একটি ছোট বাগান ও একটি পাথরচূর্ণকারক কলের মালিক হন। একদিন এক দরবেশ হাজির হন তাঁর বাগানে। খাজা সাহেব তাঁকে আন্তরিকভাবে আপ্যায়ন করেন। সেই দরবেশ ছিলেন হযরত ইব্রাহিম কন্দূজি (রহ.)। তিনি খাজা সাহেবকে কিছু রুটি ও আধ্যাত্মিক বরকত দান করেন, যার ফলেই তাঁর অন্তরে সুফিবাদের প্রতি আকর্ষণ জন্মে।

তিনি তাঁর সমস্ত সম্পত্তি বিক্রি করে বিদ্যা ও আধ্যাত্মিকতার সন্ধানে বের হন। সমরকন্দ ও বুখারায় ইসলামী জ্ঞান অর্জনের পর তিনি সুফি সাধক হযরত উসমান হারূনী (রহ.)-এর সান্নিধ্যে আসেন এবং ২০ বছর তাঁর সঙ্গে থেকে আধ্যাত্মিক শিক্ষা লাভ করেন।

ভারতের পথে যাত্রা

আধ্যাত্মিক নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী, খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিশতী (রহ.) ভারতবর্ষে আগমন করেন আনুমানিক ১১৯১ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে। সে সময় ভারত ছিল বহু ধর্ম, জাতপাত ও সংস্কৃতির এক বিপুল মিলনক্ষেত্র। সামাজিক বৈষম্য ছিল প্রকট। এই প্রেক্ষাপটে তাঁর শান্তিপূর্ণ, সহনশীল ও মানবিক বাণী সমাজের সকল স্তরের মানুষের হৃদয়ে স্থান করে নেয়।

তিনি আজমির নগরীকে তাঁর আধ্যাত্মিক কেন্দ্র হিসেবে বেছে নেন। আজমির ছিল হিন্দু রাজপুত শাসনের অন্তর্ভুক্ত, তাই এখানে ইসলাম প্রচার সহজ কাজ ছিল না। কিন্তু তিনি অস্ত্র নয়, ভালোবাসা ও সহানুভূতির মাধ্যমে মানুষের হৃদয় জয় করেন।

চিশতীয়া তরীকা: ভালোবাসা, সেবা ও সহনশীলতা

খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিশতী (রহ.) চিশতীয়া তরীকার প্রতিষ্ঠাতা নন, তবে ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশে এই তরীকাকে তিনি প্রতিষ্ঠিত ও বিস্তৃত করেন। এই তরীকার মূল শিক্ষা ছিল—

  • ইশক-ই-হকিকি (আল্লাহর প্রতি নিখাদ ভালোবাসা)

  • খিদমত-ই-খালক (মানবতার সেবা)

  • সামা ও কাওয়ালী (আধ্যাত্মিক সংগীত)

তিনি নির্লোভ, নিরহংকারী এবং দরিদ্রদের আশ্রয়দাতা হিসেবে পরিচিত ছিলেন। তাঁর দরবারে কোনো ভেদাভেদ ছিল না—হিন্দু, মুসলিম, ধনী, গরীব সকলেই সেখানে সমান মর্যাদা পেত।

অলৌকিকতা ও প্রভাব

খাজা সাহেবের জীবনে অনেক অলৌকিক ঘটনার কথা লোকমুখে প্রচলিত রয়েছে। যেমন—

  • প্রতিদিন শত শত মানুষকে তিনি খাবার খাওয়াতেন, অথচ তার জন্য আলাদা কোনো রসদ থাকতো না।

  • তিনি বহু রোগীকে দোয়ার মাধ্যমে আরোগ্য করে তুলেছেন।

  • তাঁর ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী বহুবার সত্য প্রমাণিত হয়েছে।

কিন্তু তাঁর সবচেয়ে বড় "করামত" ছিল মানুষের হৃদয়ে পরিবর্তন আনা। বহু হিন্দু, যারা প্রথমে কৌতূহলবশত তাঁর কাছে আসতেন, পরে তাঁর ব্যক্তিত্বে মুগ্ধ হয়ে ইসলামের দিকে আকৃষ্ট হতেন।

ইসলামের প্রচারে অবদান

খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিশতী (রহ.) ইসলাম প্রচার করেন অত্যন্ত শান্তিপূর্ণ ও সুফিবাদী কায়দায়। তিনি কোনো তর্ক-বিতর্কে লিপ্ত হতেন না। তাঁর জীবনই ছিল ইসলামের জীবন্ত প্রতিচ্ছবি—ধৈর্য, দয়া, উদারতা এবং আল্লাহর প্রেমে নিমগ্ন থাকা।

তাঁর শিষ্যগণ—যেমন কুতুবউদ্দিন বখতিয়ার কাকী (রহ.), বাবা ফারিদ (রহ.), নিজামউদ্দিন আউলিয়া (রহ.)—তাঁর মিশনকে আরও বিস্তৃত করেন। এদের মাধ্যমে ভারতের নানা প্রান্তে সুফি খানকাহ প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয় এবং ইসলামিক আধ্যাত্মিকতা ছড়িয়ে পড়ে।

মৃত্যু ও দরগাহ

খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিশতী (রহ.) ১২৩৬ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে ইন্তেকাল করেন। বলা হয়ে থাকে, মৃত্যুর আগের দিন তিনি একাকী চিল্লাখানায় অবস্থান করেন এবং সেখানে তাঁর রূহ দুনিয়া থেকে বিদায় নেয়। তাঁর কবর আজমিরে অবস্থিত, যেটি আজ আজমির শরীফ দরগাহ নামে পরিচিত।

এই দরগাহ শুধুমাত্র মুসলমানদের নয়, বরং সব ধর্মের মানুষের কাছে এক পবিত্র স্থান হিসেবে বিবেচিত। প্রতিবছর তাঁর ওরস উপলক্ষে লাখো মানুষ সেখানে একত্রিত হন। মোগল সম্রাট আকবর নিজেও পায়ে হেঁটে আগ্রা থেকে আজমির গিয়েছিলেন খাজা সাহেবের দরগায় সন্তান লাভের দোয়া নিতে।

উপসংহার

খাজা মঈনুদ্দিন চিশতী (রহ.) কেবল একজন সুফি সাধক ছিলেন না, তিনি ছিলেন মানবতার এক অনন্য আদর্শ। ভারতবর্ষে ইসলামের শান্তিপূর্ণ ও মানবিক রূপ তাঁর মাধ্যমেই সর্বপ্রথম জনমানসে গভীরভাবে প্রোথিত হয়। তাঁর শিক্ষা ও জীবনাচার আজও সমাজে সম্প্রীতির বার্তা দেয়।

তিনি প্রমাণ করে গেছেন, ধর্মীয় বাণী প্রচারের জন্য শক্তি বা বিতর্ক নয়, বরং দরকার নিঃস্বার্থ ভালোবাসা, বিনয়, ও মানুষের সেবায় নিজেকে উৎসর্গ করা।
