While the above-mentioned figures are historical figures, there are also many legendary warriors in Iranian folklore and epics. The most famous of these are **Sorab and Rustam**, two heroes from the Shahnama (Persian national epic). Their story is a tragic blend of heroism, tragedy, and fate. Rustam was the greatest warrior of Persia and his son Sorab was also a powerful warrior. But unfortunately, they got involved in a war without knowing each other's identity and Sorab was killed by Rustam.
